  • 1 small red onion, finely diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, finely diced
  • 1 cup halved cherry or grape tomatoes
  • ½ cup crumbled feta cheese

  • 6 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon of dried oregano

Begin by combining the diced cucumbers, red onions, bell peppers, and tomatoes in a salad bowl. Main Course: Creamy Mushroom Chicken

Time for the exciting part: the main course! This indulgent dish combines tender chicken breast fillets with mushrooms. It may just leave you and your partner wanting more.

  • ¾ kilo chicken breast fillet, sliced
  • ¼ cup flour
  • ½ teaspoon rosemary (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (115 g) mushrooms, drained
  • ¼ cup white wine (optional)
  • 1 pack (250 ml) all-purpose cream

Season chicken slices in a bowl with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and optional rosemary, ensuring an even mix. Coat the chicken with flour for a delicate crust.

In a pan, melt butter, add olive oil, and sear the chicken until a golden crust forms. Set aside once seared.

In the same pan, sauté onions and garlic until fragrant, then add mushrooms, seasoning with salt and pepper, and sauté for 2 minutes. Reintroduce the seared chicken and, if using, add white wine. Let the wine aroma evaporate before incorporating all-purpose cream. Gently stir until the chicken is coated, cover, and simmer for 1-2 minutes.

Enhance with fresh parsley, stir, and cook for an additional minute. Transfer the Creamy Mushroom Chicken to a serving dish, pair it with some hot rice, and savor the exquisite blend of textures and flavors in every bite.

Soup: Chicken Lemon

Continue the adventure with a warm and invigorating bowl of Chicken Lemon Soup.

  • 8 cups of chicken broth
  • ½ cup of fresh lemon juice
  • ½ cup of shredded carrots
  • ½ cup of finely chopped onion
  • ½ cup of finely chopped celery
  • 6 tablespoons of chicken soup base
  • ¼ teaspoon of ground white pepper
  • ¼ cup of margarine
  • ¼ cup of all-purpose flour
  • 8 egg yolks
  • 1 cup of cooked white rice
  • 1 cup of diced, cooked chicken meat
  • 16 slices of lemon

In a large pot, combine chicken broth, lemon juice, carrots, onions, celery, soup base, and white pepper. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 15 to 20 minutes until vegetables are tender.

In a small bowl, blend margarine and flour, gradually stirring into the soup mixture. Simmer, stirring frequently, for 8 to 10 minutes.

While simmering, beat egg yolks until light in color. Gradually whisk in some hot soup, pouring in a thin stream while whisking vigorously. Add the egg mixture to the pot and heat through.

Introduce cooked rice and chicken, cooking until warmed through. Ladle the hot soup into bowls, garnish with lemon slices, and relish in the warmth and zest of this dish.

Dessert: Chocolate-dipped Strawberries

End your culinary journey on a sweet note with some delectable Chocolate-Dipped Strawberries.

  • 100g dark chocolate, roughly chopped
  • 400g strawberries
  • 30g white and milk chocolate, roughly chopped (optional)

Prepare a strip of parchment paper. Melt dark chocolate by placing it in a heatproof bowl over a pan with simmering water or by using the microwave in 20-second bursts, stirring until fully melted. Transfer the melted chocolate to a small, deep bowl.

Dip strawberries into the melted chocolate, holding them by their leafy tops. Shake off excess chocolate and place them on the parchment to set. Pour any leftover chocolate onto another strip of parchment for later use.

For an extra touch, melt white and milk chocolate, and drizzle it lightly over the dipped strawberries.

Enjoy the delightful mix of juicy strawberries and rich chocolate—a perfect way to end your culinary celebration.

As you wrap up this flavorful adventure, imagine how the joy of cooking has woven a special connection between you and your partner. Beyond the delicious dishes, this five-course journey is more than just a treat for your taste buds—it’s the perfect prelude to a night of shared pleasures.
